Piatek is a town whose geographical location matches the geometrical centre of Poland. This is commemorated by a metal sculpture in the middle of the town. This small town with a long history was destroyed twice: during the war with Sweden in 1681 and again during World War II. Not far away a big, dramatic battle took place - the Battle of the Bzura River. It is a must to see the 18th century wooden church and the 19th century belfry.
